Association for Peer Support Advisory Council
The APS Advisory Council provides guidance, insight, and thoughtful oversight to the National Director, APS staff, and the 501(c)(3) Board of Directors, ensuring the programmatic strength and financial integrity of the organization.
The Council is comprised of no less than two-thirds of individuals who provide direct peer support services, including peer support in mental health and addictions recovery.
More than an advisory body, the Council is a circle of lived experience and leadership, bringing the wisdom of the field into national decision-making and helping APS stay grounded in the values that make peer support distinct, powerful, and transformative.
Our Advisory Council
Members of the National APS Advisory Council reflect the diversity, strength, and wisdom of the peer support community. Council members bring lived experience from direct service, training, leadership, and systems change to help guide APS in meaningful and practical ways.
