This event focused on providing individuals with the knowledge and tools to heal from trauma and support others who have experienced trauma. Our session aims to provide a safe and supportive environment for attendees to learn from experienced peer professionals and connect with others who share similar experiences.
Taking Action for Whole Health and Wellbeing

Join us for co-facilitated workshop on Taking Action for Whole Health and Wellbeing. The curriculum is based on the US Substance Abuse and Mental Health Administration’s (SAMHSA) Taking Action curriculum and other recovery publications developed with input from individuals with lived experience of recovery from mental health, addictions, and co-occurring challenges. The topics, practices, and approaches in this program have demonstrated effectiveness through various research studies and with input from care providers. The Copeland Center’s Taking Action for Whole Health & Wellbeing program combines key curriculum topics with evidence-based and experiential-based peer-to-peer strategies.
Supervision & Support of the Peer Specialist
Limited Seats Available - Session Runs Sunday 9am-12pm and 2pm-4:30pm
In this course, we will explore components of effective Peer Support while gaining understanding of how we can provide support to the process as supervisors. We will discuss both administrative (needs of the agency) and supportive (needs of the peer workforce) components of the Supervision role.
