Meet the Advisory Council: Shrina Zaldivar-KCPPS, AAS

Shrina Zaldivar-KCPPS, AAS, is the Parent Peer Support Specialist at Lakemary Center in Paola, KS. She specializes in supporting families of individuals with developmental disabilities, autistic individuals, and those experiencing a behavioral or mental health crisis. Driven by her own lived experience navigating youth and adult behavioral services, autism and education, Shrina has built a profession empowering caregivers of special needs children to ask tough questions and demand answers while providing empathetic and strategic support in the home and in the community. Shrina is passionate about elevating the voices of individuals with lived experience to create change and encouraging all individuals to build themselves up into the kind, caring, knowledgeable and beautiful beings they have always been.
