Organizational Memberships & More

The Association for Peer Support (APS) is a membership-driven organization rooted in a simple but powerful belief: people with lived experience are uniquely positioned to help one another heal, grow, and thrive.

We offer three types of annual organizational memberships. Each membership includes access for up to 10 individual peer support specialists within your organization.

We also offer multiple partnership levels for sponsors and affiliates. Sponsors and affiliates are businesses or organizations that provide financial support to advance APS’s mission and projects.

Our Mission & Purpose

The Association for Peer Support is dedicated to the transformative potential of peer support across health systems and in our community.

We achieve this through promotion, training, advocacy, and networking of diverse individuals dedicated to the fidelity of peer support, as defined by universal values and standards of practice in peer support.

The Association for Peer Support is comprised of individual peer supporters, allies of fidelity to peer support practices, and organizational sponsors across the nation working together for strategic investment in peer-led models that can yield more humane, inclusive, and fiscally responsible healthcare.

National Standard Guidelines

Mutual Support, Mutual Respect, and Connection

The Association’s work is rooted in three core elements that define a Peer Support relationship: Mutual Support, Mutual Respect, and Connection. Implementing formal and informal practices of peer support across health systems and communities is guided by the following National Core Values and related competencies established by over 800 members of the peer support movement across the nation.
