World of Possibilities

Are you interested in exploring your community participation interests through storytelling? This study explores how storytelling can support peer specialists in building confidence, social support, and community participation. 
 

The next group times are: 
Group 1: August 12- September 30; Wednesdays 1:00-3:30 PM EST/12:00-2:30 PM CST/11:00 AM-1:30 PM MST/10:00 AM-12:30 PM PST
Group 2: October 7- November 24; Wednesdays (October 7, 14, 21, 28, November 4); Tuesdays (November 9, 16, 23, 30) 1:00-3:30 PM EST/12:00-2:30 PM CST/11:00 AM-1:30 PM MST/10:00 AM-12:30 PM PST
 

This project will be recurring, with more dates available in the future. 

If eligible, you will: 

  • Join an 8-week, peer-led, online group program focused on storytelling and community participation. 
  • Be randomly assigned to start immediately or after a short waitlist. 
  • Complete study activities and surveys over 16 weeks.

To be eligible, you must: 

  • Age 18+
  • Be a trained peer support specialist
  • Have a diagnosis of a serious mental illness 
  • Have reliable internet access
