Join experienced Copeland Center co-facilitators for this in-person 1-day wellness opportunity! This program leads people through a process of exploration to discover what they need, want, and can do to support their own well-being and recovery. It is based on SAMHSA's “Action Planning for Prevention and Recovery” booklet and other SAMHSA materials. Various research studies support this kind of approach to mental health recovery, addiction recovery, and wellness. The workshop also lays a broad foundation for building increased wellness in the workforce that is based on mutual support. 
 

Essential Elements covered:

·      Recovery, wellness, self-care, self-compassion, and action orientation

·      Focus on self-esteem, connection, hope, empowerment, self-determination, education, community inclusion and self-advocacy

·      Building a Strong Support System

·      Personal and Community Resources

·      Wellness tools, skills, and strategies for whole health and wellbeing

·      Physical Health and the effects of exercise, nutrition, light, sleep, and smoking

·      Finalizing Wellness Tools: Spirituality, Complementary, Controversial, Alternative and Additional tools

·      Developing Action Plans for Triggers, Early Warning Signs, Difficult Times

·      Healthcare and medications

·      Crisis Planning and Advanced Directives

·      Post Crisis and Post Relapse planning

·       Wellness Topic: Employment, Meaningful Activity, Motivation and Lifestyle
 

The Learning Objectives:
•      Identify foundational concepts to build personal resiliency and facilitate wellbeing.
•      Apply personal wellness tools related to whole health and wellbeing.
•      Develop wellness tools and personalized strategies for action planning for whole health and wellbeing.

Who should attend? Peer workers, People wanting to enhance their wellbeing no matter where you are starting from, Family members/caregivers, anyone in behavioral health or working with people in addictions recovery (or both), people in human services, people who work with those across the life span (children, youth, parents, elders, etc.)

This is a transformation opportunity to explore your own wellness, even during difficult times and how to support others (through maintaining your wellness, enhancing your communication, and creating boundaries)
