Taking Action Co Facilitators Training - Dublin, Ireland - June 2025

Training date: Monday, June 9- Friday, June 13th, 2025

This hands-on workshop that will prepare participants to co-facilitate workshops based on SAMHSA's Taking Action Program and acquire the skills, knowledge, and materials to co-facilitate groups in their community and organization. It is for people who have completed a Taking Action course.
The Taking Action Co-Facilitator training provides an experiential learning environment based on mutuality, empowerment, connection, and self-determination. Participants in this course will be expected to participate in interactive learning activities and demonstrate their own experience with the Taking Action Program.
This training is appropriate for anyone who would like to lead wellness and recovery groups, work with others to develop their steps to taking action for wellness and recovery and give presentations on mental health wellness and recovery-related issues to groups or organizations.
Participants are expected to have a solid working knowledge of the Taking Action Program and share their experiential knowledge of how taking action for wellness and recovery has worked.
In this course, participants will:
• Acquire skills and knowledge to co-facilitate and implement a “Taking Action for Whole Health and Wellbeing” program.
• Develop evidence based and experiential based strategies to empower and support participants to take action to increase their wellbeing.
• Identify and describe the values, ethics, and guidelines to implement an evidence based and experiential based peer to peer wellness program using “Taking Action for Whole Health and Wellbeing” curriculum.
Through this training, you will be provided a variety of material support that your network can use and reproduce for implementation at no cost.
