Be Great!

Doors to Wellbeing invites you to join our monthly Peer Specialist Webinar Series. This FREE continuing education opportunity brings experts by experience to expand peer specialist skills, knowledge and best practices. The series is the last Tuesday of every month (except December) at 2pm ET/1pm CT/12pm MT/11am PT

This webinar delves into the journey of coping with loss and the emotions that accompany grief and how to support others as a peer support specialist. Participants will explore the grieving process and learn to discover inner strength during challenging times. The webinar emphasizes practical strategies and resources to help individuals navigate their emotions, build resilience, and find hope. Recognizing grief as a deeply personal and complex experience, this webinar adopts a compassionate and supportive approach to healing.

Eleanor Roosevelt’s timeless words from You Learn by Living: Eleven Keys for a More Fulfilling Life offer inspiration for this session:
"You gain strength, courage, and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face. You are able to say to yourself, 'I have lived through this horror. I can take the next thing that comes along.' You must do the thing you think you cannot do."
These words remind us of the transformative power of facing adversity with courage and the potential for growth in the face of loss.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Identify at least 3 coping strategies and practical tools and resources to manage emotions, build resilience, and promote healing during times of loss.
  2. Explain the importance of cultivating inner strength through reflection on personal experiences to foster strength, courage, and confidence when facing future challenges.
  3. Name 3-4 strategies that develop an outlook that emphasizes healing, growth, and the potential for a renewed sense of purpose after loss.
