Supporting Team Member Mental Health and Engagement

In recognition of Mental Health Awareness Month, this Peer Specialist Webinar Series session will explore how we can intentionally support mental health and strengthen engagement within our teams and communities. Grounded in peer support values, the session will examine how we understand mental health in real-world contexts, and how inclusion, resilience, and cultural awareness shape the ways we connect with and support one another.

Participants will be invited to reflect on their own experiences while building practical strategies to foster self-care practices and inclusive environments. By the end of the session, attendees will deepen their understanding of mental health and leave with tools they can immediately apply to enhance engagement, promote wellbeing, and support the people they work alongside.

Learning Objectives:

  • State the impact of mental health on team engagement and wellbeing
  • Identify 3-4 ways inclusion, culture, and resilience influence how people experience and express mental health
  • Apply at least 2 practical strategies to support team members’ mental health in everyday interactions
