Mastering the Peer Narrative is a professional development workshop that empowers participants to transform lived experience into stories that heal, inspire, and connect. Facilitated by Omar Kenyatta Clark, mental wellness advocate, keynote speaker, and NY Peer Specialist Certification Board member, this session guides attendees through a step-by-step framework to craft authentic, hope-filled narratives while maintaining healthy boundaries. Omar will also share his own peer narrative as a real-life example of how personal truth can become a powerful tool for recovery, resilience, and empowerment.

About the presenter: Omar Kenyatta Clark
Omar Kenyatta Clark is a keynote speaker, author, and certified peer specialist based in New York, as well as a mental health advocate dedicated to transforming the way we approach healing, purpose, and community. He also serves as a board member on the New York Peer Specialist Certification Board, helping to shape standards and opportunities for peers across the state. As the founder and host of the Voices of Hope podcast and movement, Omar amplifies stories of resilience and recovery, creating "Brave" space for authentic conversations about faith, mental wellness, and the power of human connection.
With over a decade of experience in the mental health field, Omar combines professional expertise with personal conviction to inspire audiences toward healing and service. Through Voices of Hope, he challenges stigmas surrounding mental health, calling individuals to rise from their own fires and become lights for others. His work reminds us that hope isn’t just something we find...it’s something we become.
