Feb 16 - A Cultural Perspective on Wellness: Black History Celebration
Let's come together and celebrate Black History Month, a national holiday honoring the enormous contribution of African Americans from civil rights leaders, activists, visionaries, and inventors. Not only for their impact on the United States but also as an inspiration for all people, we believe everyone is worthy of respect and that diversity along with life experiences brings richness to our community. We encourage and support everyone to embrace their own sense of self and our values leans to the fact: "There is unconditional acceptance of each person as they are - unique, special individuals including accepting of diversity in relation to culture, ethnicity, language, race, gender, age, abilities, and one's readiness." We embrace our values with the work we do every day, we encourage you to come participate as we explore wellness from three well informed panelists.
