Meet the Team: Todd Noack

Todd Noack, Membership Development Director

Todd Noack brings a unique combination of lived experience, organizational leadership, and professional expertise to his role as Membership Development Director. His recovery journey began 16 years ago while navigating chronic back pain and multiple surgeries. Through that experience, Todd discovered the importance of hope, meaningful support, and connection—principles that continue to shape his work today.

Todd brings more than 18 years of management and sales experience in the rent-to-own and automotive industries, along with extensive leadership experience in the mental health and peer recovery field. He founded and led Life Connections Peer Recovery Services, one of Iowa’s largest peer-run organizations. Under his leadership, the organization operated Iowa’s first and only peer-run respite house as well as an after-hours wellness and recovery center for more than eight years.

Throughout his career in peer recovery, Todd has worked to strengthen access to resources, expand peer-led services, and support individuals and families navigating mental health and recovery systems. He remains actively engaged in developments affecting the peer support profession at both the state and federal levels and is a graduate of Iowa’s 2010 Peer Support Training Academy.

As a speaker and advocate, Todd draws upon his lived and professional experience to address topics including peer support, mental health recovery, chronic pain, addiction recovery, resource navigation, and living well in recovery. His expert-by-experience perspective reflects a commitment to ensuring that lived experience remains a meaningful and respected voice in the development of recovery-oriented services and systems.

At the Copeland Center, Todd is focused on strengthening engagement with peer specialists, building meaningful relationships within the recovery community, and supporting the continued advancement of the peer support profession. His work is grounded in promoting strong standards, fidelity to peer support values and principles, and opportunities for peer specialists to connect, grow, and lead.
