Meet the Board: Scott Heller

Scott Heller, PsyD is a retired psychologist with over 30 years’ experience. During his work with the Office of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services (OMHSAS), Scott worked to support the development of community-based services and supports, promoting recovery and community inclusion.  After retiring from OMHSAS, he was the Executive Director of the Pennsylvania Psychiatric Rehabilitation Providers Association (PAPRS).
 

Dr. Heller served as a Commissioner for the Psychiatric Rehabilitation Association (PRA) Certification Program which works to ensure a skilled recovery focused workforce.
 

Dr. Heller is the recipient of the 2007 PAPSRS Distinguished Career in Psychiatric Rehabilitation Award. He has presented on the topics of Psychiatric Rehabilitation, Medicaid -funded Peer Support, MH System Transformation, Recovery Principles and Recovery-Focused Organizational development at regional and national conferences.
