Hello, I am Trilby Kerrigan and I am a member of the Karuk Tribe. I currently live in Mendocino County and work full time as the Director of Pinoleville Pomo Nation Vocational Rehabilitation Program. I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and just recently completed my MSW at Humboldt State University. I am very connected to the Macro level of Social Work and have a strong focus on advocacy and social justice for the Indigenous communities that I work in.
My expertise in the field is maintaining and supporting culturally relevant services for the Indigenous clients that I work with., This is an area that is instrumental in creating wellness and programming that is both meaningful and supportive of the many families and children that I work with in my capacity as the Director of PPNVRP. I am also currently teaching Case Management and Documentation at the Mendocino Community College in the Human Service Program. I am a past representative of the State Independent Living Council and the State Rehabilitation Council, in these two appointed positions I have been able to advocate and for system and policy change for Indigenous people with disabilities in California.
My goal is to continue my path of advocacy and system change in policies and procedures of programming that supports the Indigenous populations that I work for.
