Timothy J. Cox
Timothy is a United States Air Force Veteran with a passion for working with military Veterans, their families, and all those in a mental health recovery journey. He is currently the Certified Peer Support Specialist in the Outpatient Mental Health Division of the Cincinnati Veterans Affairs Medical Center. He is presently Facilitating/Co-Facilitating educational, support, and change groups – specifically CBT for Depression, PTSD, WRAP, Vietnam Veterans, Seniors, Anger Management, CBTi Sleep Therapy, and Peer-to-Peer Recovery. In addition to the groups in the clinic; Timothy provides case management, serves on two BHIP teams, and performs special projects as assigned by the Division Director. Adding to his educational, certifications, and trainings resume - he recently completed his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Human Services and Counseling requirements from Lindsey Wilson College. He received his WRAP Facilitator Training in Denver, Colorado, in April of 2015. Timothy has been practicing peer modeling and support, recovery, action planning, and wellness principles in his own life for over a decade and welcomes the opportunity to provide WRAP facilitation in the Greater Cincinnati Region, which includes; Southwest Ohio, Northern Kentucky, and Southeast Indiana – or wherever he is needed.
