Kevin Curran
I trained as a mental health nurse and worked in various community settings as a Community Psychiatric Nurse mostly in London and Northern Ireland. I went back to University and completed a Bsc (Hons) 1.1 in Nursing Development (1989) and later an Msc in Community Health in Trinity College Dublin between (1993). I worked in Epidemiological research in Trinity and Dublin Hospitals for a number of years and also returned back to some clinical practice. For 20 years I managed the community service of Multiple Sclerosis Ireland in the North East. I have been working over the last number of years in the area of Community Health Promotion in border counties between Republic and Northern Ireland. In 2019 I took up the post of coordinating a new health promotion project developing and supporting communities mental health initiatives through the Innovation Recovery College Project. I am at present back in clinicial duties due to the COVID-19 crisis.
