How well did participants like the first international WRAP Around the World Conference in Philadelphia, PA? Here’s what the evaluations have shown:
- 89.8% reported that the conference met or exceeded expectations (53% exceeded).
- 99% stated that they will attend future conferences
- 94% stated that they gained personal benefits from attending
- 95% stated that they gained benefits professionally
- The renewed spirituality of recovery and the effectiveness of WRAP. Also, a new friend and WRAP P.A.L.. as well as an inspirational trainer.
- As I stated in a report to the Committee that financed my trip, I felt the Personal Bill of Rights to be the one most important feature I brought back from the conference.
- We are doing great work with great people. The Copeland Center is headed in the right direction. We have some spit polishing to do but we are a force to be reckoned with and one that brings solutions. Thank you to the committee, to Copeland Center, Mary Ellen and everyone who showed up and presented the face of hope. We do ROCK!!
- Implementing WRAP within a state hospital setting was my favorite. The presenters were knowledgeable and well prepared in all aspects. They informed us of the obstacles that we may face and offered ideas in which to deal with problems to bring about solutions that will be beneficial to all concerned. It was also good that one of them had a lived experience as a long term resident in a state. I live near the Norristown State Hospital and as they are considering moving to transitional housing, this information will be invaluable in helping all concerned in this process.
- Meeting Mary Ellen and the Copeland staff, networking and hoping to be able to continue this tremendous energy of wellness and recovery back to NJ without the bottleneck I am experiencing with accessing, utilizing and supporting the WRAP in NJ
- The Advanced Level Fresher and listening to Mary Ellen’s keynote. I personally feel each session gave me alot of new information, inspiration and a sense of where to go in the next 5 years. Meeting the individuals from other countries – what a treat.
- I think it was all terrific. Lots of workshop options, well organized. It was nice of Mary Ellen to meet with people so much at her table. The raffle was well received. The hotel was very pricey. The lunches were nice.
- Getting to meet Mary Ellen Copeland in person, have her sign a WRAP manual, and to actually get to put my arm around her and have my picture taken- that was amazing. Her ongoing amazing story of inner strength and resolve and guile under extremely challenging circumstances is truly awe-inspiring. It’s an amazing new and important movement in the history of psychology, in my opinion, and I’m glad to have been a part of it.
