CCT Connect
Customized Community Transportation (CCT) provides paratransit service – CCT Connect – to
individuals with disabilities and senior citizens.
ADA Paratransit Service
In accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), SEPTA provides comparable
service for people with disabilities who are functionally unable to use regular accessible fixed-
route bus service for some or all of their transportation needs. Eligible individuals can travel
whenever and wherever buses operate in SEPTA’s five-county service region.
Shared-Ride Program
The Shared-Ride program is a door-to-door, advance-reservation, ride-sharing service, offered
on a space-available basis to senior citizens 65 years of age and residents of Philadelphia.
This service can be used to travel within the City of Philadelphia and to any location in the
surrounding counties within three miles of the City’s border. The State of Pennsylvania Lottery
Fund contributes to the cost of operating this program.

Both ADA Paratransit Service and the Shared-Ride Program are provided by contract carriers
within the City of Philadelphia and each suburban county. Carriers provide rides to customers,
train drivers and maintain vehicles.
SEPTA oversees the carriers, provides centralized driver training, and also directly manages
the reservation, scheduling and service monitoring functions for Philadelphia, Bucks, Chester,
Delaware and Montgomery Counties.

Eligibility Requirements
Riders must meet the established criteria to qualify for these programs. For eligibility

Riders With Disabilities
Riders with disabilities may travel at a discounted rate on all SEPTA services.

Regional Rail

Fares apply with a PA Disability Transit ID Card or valid Medicare Card, issued by the Social
Security Administration.
Remember | (A) means a ticket purchased in advance, (B) means a ticket purchased from a
train conductor
CCT Connect Fares
ADA regulations permit transit agencies to charge CCT Connect customers up to two times the
base fare for bus transportation, and to assess reasonable charges for inter-county service.
The base fare for riding a SEPTA bus or trackless trolley is $2.00.
ADA Paratransit Service
The base fare for ADA riders to use Paratransit is $4.00 for each one-way trip.
Customers may pay with:

2 tokens plus $0.90
A Zone 2 or higher TrailPass
A $1.00 inter-county charge applies to a trip traveling more than three miles into an adjacent
county.
A $1.00 zone charge may apply for distances beyond 10 miles for trips beginning or ending in
suburban counties. The charge is rounded up to the nearest 10 miles.
Shared-Ride Program
The Shared-Ride Program is sponsored by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Program
regulations require registered Senior Citizens to pay 15% of the service cost, while the state
pays the remaining 85%.
The one-way fare for the Shared-Ride program is $4.00 and must be paid in cash.
One-Day & Independence Pass
About The Independence Pass

The Independence Pass is ideal for individuals or families looking for the independence of
convenient, economical and unlimited one-day travel on SEPTA services. Occasional riders,
visitors and families can travel on SEPTA to restaurants, shopping, casinos, sporting events
and other attractions in the Greater Philadelphia region.
Prices for the pass are $11.00 for an individual pass and $28.00 for the family pass. One
family of up to five people traveling together may use one pass, however one person, but no
more than two, must be 18 years of age or older.
Customers using Regional Rail to or from New Jersey will pay an additional charge of $5.00
per individual pass and $15.00 per family pass in each direction you travel.

Regional Rail On-Board Purchase Option
Tell the conductor that you want an Individual or Family Independence Pass. If you are
traveling only on Regional Rail, the cash fare receipt will serve as the Independence Pass for
any train you board. If you plan on using bus, subway or trolley service, bring the cash fare
receipt to a SEPTA Ticket or Sales Office and exchange it for the Independence Pass at no
additional cost.
Where To Buy
The pass is sold at all Regional Rail Ticket Offices, SEPTA Sales Offices, the Transit
Museum Store, the Sales Office at 1234 Market Street, select newsstands and online at
shop.SEPTA.org. Customers have the freedom to purchase this pass in advance for whenever
you decide to have a day or night out.
How can I travel to Philadelphia International Airport?
The Airport Line Regional Rail train provides service to Philadelphia International Airport every
30 minutes from about 4 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. Bus Routes 37 and 108 service Philadelphia
International Airport also.
Philadelphia International Airport
The best travel option when traveling between Center City and Philadelphia International
Airport is by Regional Rail.
Trains stop at all major Philadelphia International Airport terminals, and reach Center City
Philadelphia in approximately 25 minutes, with one intermediate stop.
Airport Line service runs seven days a week, between 5:00 a.m. and 12 midnight.

The two simplest fare options for visitors are to purchase either a one-way ticket or
Independence Pass on-board the train.
$7.00 weekdays – on-board price (travel between 4:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. Monday
through Friday)
$6.00 evenings & weekend – on board price (travel 7:00 p.m. Monday through Friday or
all-day Saturday, Sunday, and major holidays)
$3.00 additional on-board price for travel to any other SEPTA Regional Rail station
beyond Center City Philadelphia weekdays, evenings, & weekends
Purchase the One Day Independence Pass providing unlimited use of all SEPTA services
and PHLASH in one calendar day.
Please be sure to tell the conductor your final destination when you get on the first train.

buying a ticket in advance from shop.septa.org. Allow seven to ten business days for tickets to
arrive by mail.
