WRAP Thousands and thousands of people all over the world feel that this little red book has changed their life and even saved their life. It describes a simple self-help system for identifying your personal resources and then using those resources to stay well and help you feel better quickly when you’re feeling badly. It was developed by a small group of people who experienced mental health difficulties and its popularity has expanded exponentially ever since. People are developing their own personal WRAP® plans, groups work together to assist each other, people are being trained to facilitate these groups, mental health agencies are using it as a key part of their wellness strategies and local, state, and national mental health systems are relying on it to improve their “outcomes”.

This book will help you develop your own list of activities for your everyday well-being. It will help you track triggering events and early warning signs, as well as prepare your personal responses if you feel badly. It empowers you to create a plan for your supporters to care for you if necessary. Included in this very accessible guide is information on developing a support system, using peer counseling, focusing, creative activities, journaling, music, diet, exercise, light, relaxation exercises, and getting a good night’s sleep. Using the Wellness Recovery Action Plan® control over your own health becomes possible and practical.
